Suspected cadres of the NSCN-IM which is ensuing peace talk with the government of India had reportedly looted a double barrel gun allotted to the INC candidate of Helang ADC constituency in Chingai assembly constituency identified as Ngasonmi Chanroy. According to report reaching here, some armed cadres of the NSCN-IM over power the ADC candidate along with some of the workers at Phungcham Seri Farm while they were on their way for election campaign in a four wheeler vehicle. The reported added that the suspected NSCN-IM cadre over power them and snatch five cell phones from the workers of the candidate and released them. However, the candidate Ngasonmi Chanroy was held for some times along with the vehicle. Later after some time the candidate return back by foot. As according to him the NSCN-IM cadre took his vehicle, mobile phone the licensed double barrel gun. The matter has been reported to Chingai Police station.
