The age of Superannuation for the director of Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) is now 62 years. This as stated by the Chief Minister of Manipur in the ongoing state assembly session today while answer to a question by MLA Dr.I Ibohalbi. As according to the Chief Minister the 42nd executive council meeting of RIMS held on August 5, 2011 had decided to fix the age of superannuation of Director at 65 years. And the decision was reaffirmed during the 43rd Executive Council Meeting.
However the age for superannuation for the Director RIMS has been indicated as 62 years in an advertisement dated June 24, 2015 issued by the Deputy Director Administration. The Chief Minister said that as according to report from the RIMS the advertisement was issued as according to the RRs according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, letter number U-12025/23/2015-NE dated 22nd June, 2015.
