Students Union of Manipur College staged a sit-in protest demanding for a modern library service in academic institutions today at the premise of Manipur College.Library week has been observed in across the country for a whole week from Nov 14 to Nov 20 under the leadership of Librarian to develop their school and college libraries, to gain their reading habits and to import more knowledge. The union condemned that there is no Librarian in the college or any assistant librarian but a bookman. The fee is not up to the mark comparing to the service they receive, said the union body.
