Students of AIU Manipur Graduates yet to receive degrees, students demand action

Hundreds of students who have successfully completed their degrees from Asian International University (AIU), Manipur, are yet to receive their original degree certificates, even after more than two years since passing out. The prolonged delay has reportedly disrupted their higher education plans, government job applications, private sector employment, and other verification processes.
According to sources, students have completed all academic and financial requirements, but repeated emails and representations to the university administration have gone unanswered. While the University Grants Commission (UGC) has reportedly removed AIU from its defaulter list, the core issue of pending degrees remains unresolved.
Students claim there is no effective grievance redressal mechanism in place, leaving them helpless and facing severe mental stress, financial losses, and long-term career setbacks. The situation has raised serious concerns over accountability and transparency in higher education institutions in the state.
