Intensifying the ongoing agitation of Joint Students’ Union of DM College today burnt the effigy of Education Minister, M. Okendro at the college campus. The student body boycotted class since yesterday protesting against the state government for failing to meet the demand of road development of the college campus.
Speaking to media, Secretary General, Yambem Ranjan, DM College Science said that after meeting the Education Minister on Feb 16, had assured to send representatives to look into the matter but ever since no action has been taken up. Following the negligence of the Minister the agitation is being made and will resume further agitation, said Ranjan.
