Students of Ananda Academy Higher Secondary School today brunt the effigies of Education Minister and Education (S) Director in protest against the non fulfilment of the demand for fielding of the vacant teachers in the school at around noon today. According to reports large number of students of the school today gathered at the school and came to the street infront of the school blocking the traffic along the route. The students then burnt the effigies of education minister and Education Director in the middle of the road. Police team while trying to control the agitating students fire several round of tear gas shell. Around 15 students were reported to have sustained minor injury in the police action. All the injured were rushed to JNIMS Hospital.Classes were boycotted in the school since early morning today. Later, in afternoon, the Joint Director of the State Education Department visited the school and assured the students to field the vacant teachers.
