Students’ body decry irregular attendance by teacher

Jiribam, Aug 4: The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU), Jiribam has expressed serious concern over the irregular attendance of teachers in the Jiribam Higher Secondary School saying that even after eight month they could cover only 2 chapter of each subject.In a press conference held at the office of AMSU District Committee, Jiribam yesterday evening, Kh. Tiken Meitei, President AMSU Unit, Jiribam Higher Secondary School lamented that the school teachers had not even completed 2 chapters of each subject even after 8 months of the session.He said that Jiribam Higher Secondary School has 40 teachers, but not more than 20 teachers attended the school per day.The AMSU Unit, Jiribam Higher Secondary Schools leaders said that if the teachers fail to complete their respective syllabus during the session then the teachers will be responsible for the outcome at the time of examination.
