Student killed in road accident; SDSA and MKS threatens NH- 2 bandh if authority fails to arrest the culprit

B Kamba, 17 years old, died in a road accident that took place between Senapati Bazar and Council at 9.10 pm of December 22.
Report said that one Karong- bound Tata Sumo hit him and fled from the spot without caring the victim and surrendering himself to the police.
The deceased who hails from Willong Khullen Village was studying at St.Vincent School Pumdumlong and wil be appearing matric next year.
In view of the seriousness of the case and callousness of the concerned authority, Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and MKS (Maram Students’ Union) strongly condemned the heinous crime committed upon an innocent student, said in a press statement.
The bodies also stated if the concerned authority and state government fail to book the culprit at the earliest, bandh will be imposed along National Highway-2.
The students bodies further appealed the culprit to immediately surrender himself to the police or approach the deceased family on humanitarian ground.
