Today a strong earthquake rock the state today at around 11.50 am. According to Earth Science Dept at MU the earthquake lasted for about 21 sec and 7.5 in Richter scale with epicenter at Pokhra in Nepal. Due to the quake panic people in the state ran out of their houses, building and safer places, however report of casualty and extensive damage to structures not reported so far.
