Street vendors protest; Police fire mock bombs

Large number of street vendors today staged protest in the middle of Khwairambandh Keithel after police drive them out from selling their goods at the road side as per directives of the Imphal Municipal Co-operation.

The crowded Imphal city at Khwairambandh Keithel area turn like a war field with police team firing mock bomb and by even charging them with baton to put the situation under control at around 1 pm today. Later the police team contained the situation.
