Stillborn infant found abandoned 

An infant, suspected to be stillborn, was found abandoned near Uyung Makhong Dam under Kumbi Police Station in Bishnupur District at around 3:00 p.m. yesterday, triggering shock and concern among local residents.
Upon receiving information, a police team from Kumbi Police Station rushed to the site and retrieved the infant. Preliminary observation suggests the child may have been stillborn, though confirmation is pending.
The body was transported to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal, where it was deposited at the morgue for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident, including identifying those responsible for abandoning the infant.
