Statesman exposes Rs. 1 Crore’s deal by RIMS former Director and a high profile politician

A report published in the Statesman, Kolkata edition exposed the payment of Rs. 1 Crore to a high profile politician by the former Director of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), S. Sekharjit.The report of the Statesman mentioned that the team of CBI who raided the official quarters of Sekharjit and nine other places found a letter alleged to have been written by Sekharjit’s wife to the president of BJP Manipur Unit asking him to return Rs. 1 Crore paid earlier to prevent from CBI raid.The report exposed many other blunders at RIMS during the period of Sekharjit as the Director of the institute.
