State pays tribute to slain personnel

The state paid its tribute to the army personnel who were killed in the deadly ambush near Paraolong village under Chandel district on June 4 by members of the proscribed group United Liberation Front of Western South East Asia — which includes NSCN(K), ULFA(I), Kamatapur Liberation Organization and NDFB(Songbijit). Floral wreaths were laid on the coffins of the deceased personnel by the Governor of Manipur, Chief Minister of Manipur and his Deputy. Several top brass from the army were also present at the solemn occasion held at Tulihal Airport, Imphal today.
