State level farmer’s training program

Two days long state level farmer’s training program on promotion of underdeveloped horticulture fruit crops of Manipur was organised by department of horticulture and soil conservation, Manipur today at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal.Attending the training program, J.M. Laishram, Dean, College of Agriculture, Central Agriculture University (CAU), Iroisemba said there needs coordination among horticulture department, CAU and ICAR otherwise there will be lack of technology development in horticulture farming. Thus the horticulture department needs to do a deeply extensive work. Mr. Laishram further said that Manipur has 22,000 sq of land and out of which 2,000 sp belongs to hilly region and 1,800 sq belongs to valley region. There is technology development in the valley regions however no steps of technology development has been taken so far for the hilly regions, added J.M. Laishram
