State level farmer’s training program concluded

State level farmer’s training program of ‘winter vegetable crops’ organised by department of horticulture and soil conservation under the mission ‘for integrated development of horticulture’ concluded today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal. Today’s program was attended by 100 farmers from Imphal East and Bishnupur districts.
Attending the training program as resource person, Proprietor, Temperate Mushroom, Dhaljeet Thiyam spoke on the topic of ‘how to cultivate mushroom in winter season?’ Program coordinator, KVK, Thoubal, Dr. M. Thoithoi spoke on the topic of ‘IPM of food and vegetables.’ Training Officer in Charge, Mutum Nabachandra said the mission for integrated development of horticulture is a centralised sponsored scheme. The training is very beneficial to the farmers of Manipur which gives awareness on how to cultivate winter crops, how to protect vegetables by using insecticides and proper technologies.
