State Handloom Expo 2021-2022 was inaugurated at Urban Haat, Nilakuthi, Imphal East today. The expo will continue till 3rd of January 2022 and is organized by Manipur Apex Handloom Weaver And Handicrafts Artisan C.S Ltd., Imphal and sponsored by Development Commissioner for Handloom , Ministry of Textile , Govt. of India, New Delhi.
S. Bhubon Singh, Vice President and Board Member of Manipur Apex Handloom Weaver and Handicrafts Artisan C.S. Ltd. in his key note speech expressed importance of Handloom for inclusion as a part of syllabus in Education system
G. Shanti Devi, Shilp Guru Awardee ( Handloom) attended as Chief Guest while A. Ronika Devi president of the Manipur Apex HL Weaver and HC Artisans C.S . Ltd. Imphal presided over it.
The Sunila Devi, OSD (Handloom ), Directorate of Handloom and Textile, Govt of Manipur, S Tondang Meitei , Coordinator ,AYUSH ,Govt .of Manipur and Y. Shantikumar Singh, Office-in-charge National Handloom Development Corporation Ltd. Porompat, lmphal East also attended as Guests of honours.
