State govt. rescues 8 girls from immoral trafficking

Imphal, Sept 10: State government authority in co-ordination with the Myanmar police had successfully rescued eight girls of the state from Yangoon in Mayanmar who were taken for immoral trafficking. A state government source said that all the eight girls are from Churachandpur district and are being planned to sent at Thailand or Singapore.
The source added that those girl made a distress call to the office of the Superintendent of Police Churachandpur district requesting them for rescue.
The SP Churachandpur district immediately contacted the state home department and by making no delay the state home department authority immediately contacted the Indian Embassy Officials in Yangoon  
Myanmar police and Indian Embassy officials, rescued all the eight girls from one hostel located near Yangoon Central Railway station. All the eight girls are safe and are presently in the custody of the Myanmar police station
A case has been registered at Women Churachandpur Police station, Churachandpur under FIR No.8(9)2017 WPD-CCP under section 370(3)(4)/373/34 IPC & 5(A) & (D) (I) Immoral Trafficking (P) Act, 1956. Two persons are arrested for trafficking those girls.
