The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) issued a press statement today accusing the state Government of trying to stall the investigation into the findings of 8 human skulls dug up from the compounds of Tombisana High School where construction work has begun for a market complex, despite demands from every quarter of the public to expedite the investigation so as to find out the truth about the human remains. The statement, signed by Leibak Ngakpa Luwang , Assistant Secretary, Publicity and Propaganda of the party also stressed on the misleading claims of the Government about the decision of handing over the investigation to the CBI, stating that no gazette notification has so far been issued, as should be, which reveals the claim to be false and is an attempt to stall the issue. It may be mentioned that the site from where the skulls were recovered were occupied by the Indian Army as well as the state security forces in different times in the past. There has been much speculation regarding the finds, some even hinting to the possibility of the skulls to be of various missing persons who still remained untraceable after being arrested by the army and the state security forces. The release also appeals to all the people in the state to rise against the injustice and inhuman oppression being perpetrated till today by the Indian Government.
