Imphal, Jan 16: Secured office complex building of the state government where offices of eight major government departments are located seems to be not secure at all. Reason “cracks” appeared on the floor of the third floor of the building today morning. The high tech building officially known as ‘secured office complex’ was constructed under the Special Plan Assistance (SPA) of 2012-13 with Manipur Development Society (MDS) as the implementing agency. The office complex is equipped with a metal detector and an x-ray machine attached to the main gate of the office. Moreover, office security aspect would be monitored by over 50 CCTV cameras installed at different corners and floors of the office building having lift facility. Eight government departments such as Loktak Development Authority, Manipur State Power Distribution Company Ltd, Manipur State Rural Road Development Agency, Minority & Other Backward Classes, Information Technology, Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency, Central Board of Workers Education and Manipur Development Society are located under the same office building.
