Busted NSCN-IM technical camp at Ukhrul; arrested 8 cadres

Imphal, July 13: A day after ADC member of Ukhrul district Ngalangzar Malue was killed by suspected cadres of NSCN-IM, state force today busted a technical camp of the outfit located at Ukhrul district head quarter.According to reports combine force of Police Commando and IRB cordoned suspected areas in Ukhrul town since last night and conducted search operation in the area. The security force during the operation raided a technical camp of the NSCN-IM and arrested 8 cadres of the outfit. The report added that nearly one truck loads of incriminating documents of the NSCN-IM use from 1981 to 2014 were recovered from the camp. Besides, 14 wireless sets, 2 pressure bomb, 3 empty magazines and 2 rounds of AK-47 were also seized from the technical camp of the NSCN-IM.A source identified the eight cadres arrested by the combined team as Wungcengpam Raising, (Sergeant) from Tashar Village, Issaicher Jajo, Sergeant Major of Ningthi Village, V.L. Shimreingam (Corporal) from Tuinem, Winki (25) Private, from Mon District Nagaland, Shepachi (22) (Lance Corporal) from Phek Nagaland, Longee (25) from Wangsha Arunachal Pradesh, Somrei (25 ) ( Lance Corporal) from Khongpat Khunou Ukhrul dir=strict and Khareithing Mung (23) from Lungtang, Ukhrul.All the eight arrested cadres were deported at Imphal for further interrogation.On the other hand an informed source said that government is considering to open up CDO post in Ukhrul town.
