State BJP unit today said that if the state government is sincere enough to the issue of the Inner Line Permit System it should have taken the suggestion from the representatives of the JCILP and other civil society organisation instead of calling the all political party meeting.Spokesperson of the State BJP, RK Sivachandra said that the influx of foreigners is going out of control in the state as some politicians are using them as vote bank for their mere political gain during election time said said RK Shivachandra.Speaking to media person in a press meet held at the BJP office premier at Nityaipat Chuthek this afternoon, Shivachandra said that the BJP Manipur Unit strongly condemn the use of excessive force while controlling the movement for demand of ILP by students and meira paibi of the state. He further said that if the government is sincere enough in the burning issue of demands for ILP they should have released release all those arrested in connection with the agitation.Sivachandra said that government need to enact legislation to restrict selling of lands to foreigners in small valley of state. And immediately constitute a committee to monitor the flow of foreigner at Moreh, Jiribam, Ccpur and Mao.The all political party meeting which was held at the chamber of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi will be another unfruitful one like the one which was form in the case of assault and humiliation on Momoko and Indo-Myanmar border fencing issues. He further said that instead of taking all political parties representative to Delhi the government should take the opinion of the JAC of ILP and the civil society bodies working and agitating for implementation of ILP in the state.Shivachandra also question the government on the reason for not tabling the Union Home Ministry letter regarding the demand for  extension of ILP in the state. The letter was written by the then Home Minister Sinde to Principal Secretary Home government of Manipur in July 9 2012. It said that the state government cannot extend the ILP to state in terms of Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act 1873 which is applicable only in the Northeast state Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. As a political party of state, BJP has no single representative in the Manipur Legislature Assembly. BJP though that the 60 MLAs are representatives of Manipur people.
