Staffs suspect COVID-19 reaching at MU A-Block

Some staffs of the Manipur University Administrative Block expressed apprehension about Coronavirus reaching the block after a person working as peon whose mother has been tested COVID-19 positive attended that office without informing to either the MU authority or his colleague.

While on the other hand a staff of the DIPR posted at Ukhrul district has been reportedly advised for quarantine after a member of his family got infected with the virus. DIPR staffs says that the person once visited at the account section some days back but had not attended at the head office other than that day. However, some staff opines testing of those whom he contacted on that day. So far the account section of the DIPR has not been sanitized and no precautionary measures were seen taken up at Manipur University A-Block till the filing of the story.

The past few days witness probable transmission of the novel coronavirus at community level at Thoubal district with the number of people infected by the virus rising among the people who have no travel history. The way many people get infected by the virus showed that the spread of the virus is now beyond lateral transmission. And the peon working as peon at the Administrative Block is from Thoubal district and his mother has been tested positive, a report said. The person however had stopped attending office since yesterday and he has been reportedly advised for testing.
