Imphal, May 29: Hundreds of teachers of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) stormed the office of directorate of education (S) at Lamphelpat today demanding payment of eight months due salaries. The teachers squatted inside the office compound pressing for concrete assurances from officials on clearing their pending salaries. It may be mentioned that SSA teachers had engaged in targeting education offices in other districts as well.
