The concluding function of the Sports Meet organised under the banner of “Sansad Khel Mahotsav” was held today at the hall of Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound. The event was jointly organised by Vidya Bharati Shiksha Vikash Samiti and Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba.
The closing ceremony was attended by Education Secretary Naorem Praveen Singh, Olympian Ksh. Thoiba (Seoul Olympics), Olympian Ngangbam Soniya Chanu (London Olympics), and General Secretary of Vikash Samiti Manipur, Khuraijam Dineshkumar Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Naorem Praveen Singh stressed that a prosperous and strong nation can only be built when citizens live in harmony and uphold mutual respect. He noted that in the present global scenario, India has the potential to become a great nation if people discharge their duties with sincerity and discipline. He further said that in this fast-changing society, youths should not only excel in academics but also be nurtured with moral values and responsibility to become future nation-builders.
The Sports Meet, which featured a variety of events, witnessed spirited participation by young athletes who showcased determination, discipline, and true sportsmanship. Participants expressed joy at being part of the festival, which encouraged unity and competitive spirit among youths.
