Three different organisations today sponsored a total amount of Rs. 7.5 lakh to the upcoming Manipur Sangai Festival, 2018 commencing from November 21.
Bank of India, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. and Ching Tam Trust sponsored Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 50,000 respectively. These amounts were handed over to Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh by the representatives of these organisations at Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister Shri N. Kayisii and Manipur State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Shri. S. Rajen Singh, Secretary to C.M. Shri N. Geoffrey and Director (Tourism) Shri W. Ibohal Singh were also present at the occasion.
The Chief Minister expressed his profound gratitude to all the organisations for generously extending support to organising the biggest tourism festival of the State.
He informed that among different foreign dignitaries, Princess of Thailand, Chief Minister of Sagaing (Myanmar) and US Ambassador to India would also grace this year’s festival.
