Special Outreach Programme on ‘Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ held

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Chandel, Imphal Region, in collaboration with Bhagirath Nata Sankirtan, organised a special outreach programme at K. Konshang Memorial Hall, Khangshim Village, under the theme “Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat @ 2047.”
CBC Chandel Field Officer Mathew S.K. Bengam, Chairman of Khangshim Village Angshem Tontang, and President of All Tribal Women Organisation Chandel Moikham Ronglo attended the function as distinguished guests.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary of Lamkang Naga Kver Kumpun (LNNK), Chandel, Lv. Paul Thamsen stated that by 2047, when India marks 100 years of Independence, the collective vision is to build a developed and self-reliant nation through greater empowerment of women. He noted that the initiative seeks to motivate the younger generation and to enhance farmers’ productivity in order to realise the goal of a self-reliant India.
As part of the programme, a quiz competition was conducted. Members of S&DD PRTs and the Bhagirath Nata Sankirtan troupe presented cultural performances and a street play for the audience.
Youth and members of the Women Society of Khangshim Village also participated in the outreach programme.
