Special Gram Sabha held at Monsang Pantha

A Special Gram Sabha was held today at Monsang Pantha village as part of the plan to develop it into a Model Village by 2030, with an estimated expenditure of over Rs 5 crore for various initiatives. The programme is part of the “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on September 17 for the upliftment of tribal communities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohamad Firoz Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, Chandel, said that a Village Action Plan was prepared for Monsang Pantha under the scheme. The plan has been approved by the District Level Officers of the Chandel Administration and the Village Authority.
Firoz Khan added that the primary objective of the scheme is to transform every tribal village into a responsible village, covering areas such as health, education, rural development, agriculture, forest management, ICDS, and PHED.
The Special Gram Sabha was attended by Ng. Vincent, Village Chief of Monsang Pantha; Khamba Maring, Executive Engineer of PHED; SP Lovejoy, District Agriculture Officer, Chandel; and other officials.
