Speaker greets people on May Day

While wishing the people of the state on May Day, Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Th. Lokeshore appealed the government to take up measures for the welfare of the working class community. Stating that migrant labourer flooding in this small state has been trying to replace the original labourer, the speakers pointed out the need to safeguard them. While stating about the origin of the May Day, Th. Lokeshore further said that it was unity of the labour class that the working hour has been reduced to 8 hour in a day.
