SOREPA condemns drone attack on ULFA(I) camps, expresses solidarity and grief

The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA) has issued a strong statement condemning the drone strikes reportedly carried out by Indian security forces on July 13, targeting the camps of NSCN/GPRN, RPF/PLA, and ULFA(Independent) along the Nagaland-Myanmar border.
In a message expressing solidarity and condolence, SOREPA termed the incident as an inhumane and terroristic act, claiming it revealed the “true nature” of what it described as the “occupation forces.”
The party expressed deep sorrow over the death of Lt. Gen. Nayan Asom, Chairman of the Lower Assam Council of ULFA(I), and mourned the loss of Brig. Ganesh Asom and Tikendra, whom they described as respected revolutionary figures. According to the party, the attack resulted in the irreplaceable loss of key revolutionary leaders who had long been at the forefront of the region’s struggle for self-determination.
SOREPA said the deceased leaders would be remembered as symbols of courage and resilience by generations in the WESEA (Western Southeast Asia) region. The party offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, comrades, and supporters of the ULFA(I), acknowledging the legacy left behind by those who, in its view, stood for justice, sovereignty, and the rights of oppressed people.
The statement further described the fallen leaders as voices for the voiceless and pillars of hope in the region’s liberation movement. SOREPA reaffirmed its solidarity with all revolutionary organizations fighting against what it termed as India’s “neo-colonial oppression,” and vowed to continue the mission and ideals of the departed.
