Some pharmacy sells approved Covid-19 testing kits – ACOAM Lup

IT News
Imphal, July 9:

Some of the pharmacies here in Imphal are selling the approved Covid-19 testing Kits ( Standard Q Covid -19 AG Test Kit) by the ICMR, says All Club Organisation, Association, and Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAM-Lup) in a statement released today.
The statement said that the Standard Q Covid -19 AG Test Kit which has not been approved for personal used by the ICMR but approved for only professional and health care uses are found selling illegally at some pharmacy. Taking the matter with extreme seriousness, the ACOAM-Lup asked the government how the Rapid Antigen Test Kits could be used by the public. There are chances of getting a false result if tested self and thus there is the possibility of spreading the virus to whoever contacted to the person who assumed to have been tested negative. The ACOAM-Lup also warns of committing serious errors if the data found are not entered officially.
The organisation further said that during the visit of the central team led by Dr. L. Swasticharan to Manipur, he had directed the state authority to take strong action against whoever sells Covid-19 testing kits illegally. What action have been taken up against those pharmacies who sold the Covid -19 testing kits, the ACOAM –Lup asked.
