Manipuri film actress Soma Laishram and designer Arbin Toijam made a bold statement on Sunday on the last day of the North East Festival at Delhi by holding placards on the ongoing violence in Manipur.
The duo participated in the fashion show at the 12th edition of the North East Festival, held at MDC Stadium from November 15 to 17.
On the final day of the festival, November 17, Soma Laishram served as the showstopper, walking the runway alongside Arbin Toijam. The duo carried placards with powerful messages, including “Save Manipur,” “Stop Meitei Genocide,” “We Stand for Peace,” and “Stop Violence Against Meitei Women and Children” to remind the country that there is violence going on in Manipur since last year.
