Children’s day celebrated today at Bal Bhavan, Khuman Lampak being organised by the department of social welfare government of Manipur.Attending the function as Chief Guest, A.K. Mirabai, Social Welfare and Co-operative, Minister, Govt. of Manipur said the social welfare department has organised children’s day celebration today at nine different places. Talking about the recent rise in crime against women and children Mirabai added that it is disheartening that such crimes happened in the state and the department will discuss with various civil society members and fight against such crimes.As a part of the observation a painting competition was also organised today.
