Sit-in-protests in supports of JCILPS continues at different places; CM effigy burnt at Elangbam Leikai

In support of the ongoing demand for the implementation of Inner Liner Permit System for non-locals in Manipur, sit-in-protests were staged at different parts.
Elangbam Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi staged a sit-in-protest at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai. They also burnt the effigy of Chief Minister, Okram Ibobi Singh. Vehicular movement along the route was halt for few minute when the 30 feet tall effigy of the CM was burnt at around 3.40 pm. Protestors also raised various slogans during the agitation. Renowned film star G Bonny  Sharma was also present at the protest site.
Members of Indian Medical Association also staged a sit-in-protest at Lamphelpat in front of the Medical Directorate.
Meira Paibi and locals of Moirang staged a sit-in-protest at Moirang. Condemning the killing of Sapam Robinhood, they also observed a 2-minute silence condolence. During the protest demonstration they demanded to implement ILPS and punish police officials who were allegedly involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood.
Care Foundation also staged sit-in-protest at Brighter Academy Road, New Checkon today.
Sit-in-protest were also held at Uripok and Thangmeiband areas.
