Sit-in-protest for 7th pay continue

Imphal, April 25,

With the continue protest by various government employees department demanding implementation of 7th pay commission in the state and the ongoing cease work strike imposed by Joint Administrative Council of AMTUC and AMGEO, employees of Social Welfare Department, CADA, Town Planning and Manipur State Social Welfare Board staged sit-in-protest at the premises of the office located at A.T. Line (2nd MR Gate), Imphal.
7th pay commission scheme has already been implemented in other North-East states of the country including Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya but government of Manipur is still unable to implement the scheme in the state which is very unfortunate for the employees.
If the state government considered the welfare of the employees of the state, a date should be fix for implementation of 7th pay commission in the state, asserts a protestor.
The protesters held up pla cards reading “We demand Implementation of 7th Pay Commission”.
