Sit-in-demonstration denouncing demand for separate administration staged at many places

Meira Paibi groups, clubs, and organisations continue to stage protest demonstrations at various places of the state denouncing the demand for separate administration inside the state of Manipur.
The protest demonstrations were staged at Phyeng, Heibongpokpi, Oinam Sawombung Dam Makhong, Khuyathong, Patsoi, etc.
At Phayeng Community Hall in Imphal West district, the sit-in-demonstration was organised under the aegis of the All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO). Members of the AMUCO, Phayeng Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, Heibongpokpi Meira Paibi and Sanjenbam Meira Paibi Lup. Advisor of the AMUCO, Ito Tongbram recalled the courage of the martyrs of Manipur who had fought fearlessly for the protection of the integrity of Manipur.
Ningthoujam Biren, former MLA from Sekmai Assembly constituency appealed to the government authority for the protection of the working-class people of the region. He said that farmers cannot go to the field due to fear of attack by armed Kuki militants.
At Patsoi Part IV Awang Leikai, a large number Meira Paibi today stage protest demonstration denouncing the demand for separate administration. Slogans demanding implementation of NRC in Manipur, abrogation of Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Kuki militants, and protection of the integrity of Manipur were shouted during the demonstration.
The women meira paibis also warn the government of serious consequences if the demand of the people of the state for safeguarding administrative and territorial integrity is not protected.
