United National Liberation Front (UNLF) today in a press statement clarified that Manipur Police’s claim of arresting a cadre of UNLF from Chalou on 2nd February, 2015 is a baseless claim.
The press statement signed by M. Sak-hen, Director-in-charge of UNLF said Ashangbam Shyamjit alias Nanao (29), s/o Shyamkesho of Lamlai Chalou, Imphal East who was picked up by Bishnupur Police Commando in the pretext of a talk does not belong to UNLF. He is an innocent goldsmith. He does not have any relation with UNLF and its armed wing Manipur People’s Army (MPA).
