Imphal, Jan 25: A total of 11 shops were gutted at Pallel Keithel under Kakching Police Station at around 9 pm yesterday evening. People of the area, Police personnel, Assam Rifles and Fire service jointly struggled and extinguish the fire after 2 hours. Most shops were garment and luxury items store. Cause of the fire could not be established at the moment but it is suspected that the fire triggered from electric short circuit. Amount lost in the fire is yet to be calculated.
