SF arrests KYKL, UNLF cadres

Imphal, Aug 30: Team of CDO/ Moreh under the supervision of SP Tengnoupal Dr S Ibomcha Singh arrested one cadre of KYKL today at around 8 am from Moreh- Imphal Van Parking, Moreh. The arrested person has been identified as one Chungkham Raju Meitei @ Sanahal (33 yrs), son of Ch Singhajit Meitei of Kakwa Sairom Leirak, Imphal West. Through revelation by Raju, it was found out that he joined KYKL in December , 2012 and trained at Eastern Nagaland in 2013 in 32nd batch and has been working under s/s Lt Sangai of KYKL at Leipok camp, Myanmar . Meanwhile, another team of CDO/Imphal East Unit also arrested two active cadres ounderground outfit UNLF today morning around 9:30 am from Hatta near Orient Hotel, Imphal East. The arrested cadres have been identified as Md Yunus Khan (30 yrs), son of Md Chaoba Khan of Keirao Makting Makha Leikai under Irilbung Police Station and Mutum Naobi Singh @ Mahindra (40 yrs), son of (Late) Mutum Kalachand Singh of Nongmeibung Pung Makhong. The CDO team, on a tip off information about the presence of some unknown active cadres of UNLF in and around Hatta Golapati, conducted a mobile frisking and checking on the suspected passerby at Hatta near Orient Hotel where both the cadres were arrested after detaining while coming from Minuthong side. One maruti Suzuki alto car , maroon colour bearing registration number MN/ 01AK/3983, two extortion notes of UNLF along with one mobile phone was recovered from Mutum Naobi while checking. On further verification, it was found out that both were overground worker of UNLF working under the command of one s/s Major Boicha @ Lukhomba @ Imocha of UNLF . Both also disclosed that they were proceeding towards Babupara to deliver the recovered extortion notes on the advice of Boicha @ Lukhomba @ Imocha of UNLF . Both the arrested persons have been kept at Porompat Polcie Station for further legal action.
