Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week observed at Senapati

The District Administration, Senapati under the direction of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India observed Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week today at DC Conference Hall, Senapati. The programme was observed to create a safe and secure work environment for women by preventing, prohibiting, and redressing sexual harassment.
During the programme, Panii Ngaonii, SDC Senapati welcomed the gathering and briefed on the activities to be taken up during the observation of ‘Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week’ includes forming or revamping of Internal Compliant Committee, conducting sensitization workshops, disposing off all pending cases, complete onboarding on the She- Box Portal and create safe working environment both in formal and non- formal and organised & un- organized sectors.
Mercy Kayina P, LLM, Case Worker, One Stop Centre, Senapati who is the resource person of today’s programme briefed on the Sexual Harassment and its sections of Act. She also highlighted on the responsibilities to be taken up by employees and people who has witness harassment. Mercy also stressed out on the importance of setting up Internal Complaint Committee of its composition and roles to be followed up.
The programme was also participated by Sub- Divisional Officers, District Level Officers and its staffs and Police Personnel.
