A one-day Convergence Mela was held today at Hiyanglam Lai Pangalba Market Shed, organised by Kanglei Chanu VLF, Lingjel Thoibi VLF, Loyanganbi VLF and Punshi Lamjing Meira VLF of Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat and promoted by PRI – CBO Convergence Project under Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM and Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching. The Convergence Mela, which began on October 13, concluded with today’s programme.
The programme was attended by Mayengbam Ingocha Singh, BDO Langmeidong CD Block; Elangbam Rajen Singh, Founder President of SEDO Hiyanglam; Rajeev Ningthoujam, BMM, Langmeidong CD Block; Karam Bhudhachandra Khuman, OC of Hiyanglam PS and other officials as presidium members.
Eleven stalls representing Social Welfare, Forest, Horticulture, Medical, Fishery, Handloom and other departments participated in the Mela, offering services such as PMJAY, CMHT cards, Ration Cards, Old Age Pension, Agriculture Farmer Card, Fishery Farmer Card, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Weavers Card and Yarn passbook among others, on the spot.
