A one day orientation on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was held today at the auditorium of Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) at Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak, Imphal.
Speaking at the function as the Chief Guest, Deputy Director of Children Programme Social welfare department, Government of Manipur calls on the people to protect the rights of the girl child. She said that the people should be aware of the girl child in the womb. It amounts to murder, she added.
K. Sonikumar Singh Administrative officer of ROB, Dr. Priyadarshini M. Gangte Co-ordinator of Centre for human rights and duties education and Mala Lisham Programme officer, social welfare department attended as the dignitaries of the function.
