Selected ASI, Jemadar and SI candidates demanded the concerned government authority to provide their appointment letters by the upcoming assembly winter session 2014.
Addressing a press conference today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal, L. Petersony Singh, an executive member of Sub Inspector/Jemadar selected candidates core committee said it has been 16 months since the final result of viva voce had declared and no appointment letter has been given till now. He further said that the committee had tried to meet the Chief Minister of the state regarding the appointment issue for six to seven times but failed. Sixteen months is a long period of time and there are more than 600 total candidates who have not got the appointment letters. By this upcoming assembly winter session, 2014 there appointment letters should be distributed to all the selected candidates, added Petersony. The press meet was jointly organised by ASI, SI and Jemadar selected candidates along with their parents.
