Imphal, Dec 7: State security forces had escorted around 650 empty trucks at NH-37 towards Jiriobam to ferrying essential commodities. Reports from Jiribam said that around 700 loaded trucks including Oil tanker are presently stranded at Jiribam. The security force which escorted the empty trucks from Imphal early today morning will again brought those trucks which remain stranded at Jiribam.
As per report, the security escort will first escorted the Oil tanker vehicles towards Imphal and later those ferrying essential commodities like rice and vegetable will be brought to Imphal.
Meanwhile, security have been tightened up at almost all sensitive areas. As per permission from the Central government Central para Military forces have been deployed at Noney, Nungba, Sibilong and Nung Dolan areas.
