Security measures tighten ahead of Sangai Festival

Besides taking up hectic preparation to make the upcoming Sangai Festival a grand success, state Home department is also taking up measures to wipe out anti social elements to make sure that all people including the tourist are safe during the festival.
As a part if the security measures police team of Bishnupur district under the supervision of Ksh.Manihar Singh Addl.SP(Ops) conducted cordon and search operation at Keibul Mandop leirak till  Keibul Kwairakpam leirak from 5 am to 7 am. The said location is in the close proximity of the venue where a part of the Festival is going to organised
Inspt. B.Lunthang Vaiphei  OC-CDO, Sukumar DSP-CDO, with  SDPO(MRG), WPS,R/L, MRG-PS and DSP-CDO keibul were also present during the search operation. A total of 245 persons including 95 women were verified and picked up 6 former rebels which were on bail and handed over to Keibul Police Station  for further verification.
