Security forces recover arms and equipment in Churachandpur

Security forces conducted search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts to maintain security and prevent unlawful activities. The operation covered Songpi village and Pearsonmum village, located within the Churachandpur forest areas under CCP-PS, Churachandpur District.
During the search, security personnel recovered two Ex-Caliber firearms, one of which bore the registration number 141806758, along with empty magazines. A country-made mortar (Pumpi) was also found, along with four small-sized mortar rounds and one medium-sized mortar round. Additionally, two wireless sets of Baofeng make, two bulletproof plates, eight chest posts or vests, and one tactical helmet were seized. The operation also led to the recovery of five rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.
