Security beefs up ahead of the PM scheduled visit

Imphal, Feb 23: Security measures have been beefed up in and around Langjing area in Imphal West district in and around the place where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attending a election campaign meeting at Langjing Achouba.  
A team of Imphal West District Police led by Dr S.Ibomcha Singh, Addl SP( Ops)/ IW today conducted cordon and search operation at Langjing Achouba areas from 5.45 am to 7.15 am in connection with the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per scheduled the Prime Minister will be attending a public meeting at Langjing Achouba Ground on February 25.  Sanitisation of the place of function and around has also been done by using the two sniffer dogs of Manipur Police from 7.30 am to 8.30 am.
