Secretariat employees on strike detained by Police

Imphal, Sept 15:

At least 54 employees of the Manipur Secretariat Office who have been undergoing cease work strike on various demands for the last two days have been detained by the state police today.
The Employees were picked up by a team of Imphal West district police at around 11 am today when the employees were staging protests inside the secretariat complex. The 54 employees were later taken to Sajiwa Jail in two buses.
Strict security measures have been taken up by a team of state police led by DIG and SP to avoid any unwanted incidents in and around the Secretariat office.
