SEACO to worship Humpu Leima Narengshubi

South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) today in a press statement asked the people of the state to worship Shingjakhombi-Humpu Leima Narengshubi, the Goddess of Education and Learning.
The press statement signed by Laishram Kennedy Khuman, Secretary General of SEACO said that worshipping of Swarswati Puja in Manipur was started during the reign of King Chandrakirti, on February 12, 1868. After that people the number of people who of Humpu Leima Narengsubi gradually dwindled in the state. SEACO has been struggling for the revival of our rich culture. Manipur is among the countries which have a Goddess of learning.
It also appealed to the people of the state to worship the Goddess of Education and Learning on the 24th of January.
