South East Asia Cultural Organiation (SEACO) is all set to observe the memorial function of the Manipuri pioneer who had struggled hard to survive the indigenous Sanamahi cult in the state on October 31. In a press statement, the organization said that during the reign of Churachand Maharaj Brama Sabha was the supreme and any persons who came up against the Hindu religion was ostracized from the society. In short Brahma Sabha was the supreme with no means to let the Sanamahi cult survive. However, various leaders of the time and later during the time of Maharajah Bodhachndra strived hard to survive the indigenous religion and submitted memorandum to revive the indigenous culture. Paying tribute to those leaders who revive the Sanamahi Cult SEACO is observing the day on October 31.
