South East Asia Cultural Organistion (SEACO) condoled the untimely demise of Khelen Thokchom. In a message the organisation said that the senior journalist had attended the foundation day of the organisation held at Lamyanba Sanglen Palace compound as guest of honour and advice the organise to take the cause for protection of out culture.
The statement further said that it shares the pain of the family member of the departed journalist while praying for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Center for Women Development, Indo-Asean Friendship organisation (IAFOM) also condoled the demise of the departed journalist. In separate statement the organisation said that the untimely demise of the journalist will be a vacuum for the state.
